I don’t know why, but part of me imagined a robot left on earth and convinced he’s human.
Thanks Icy. That could certainly be true.
I saw your lights (and detected your abnormal radio wave activity too). This was rather lovely Alison
yes, detected your abnormal radio wave activity, how nice of you to say. Was really taken by the story of the Voyager probes recently and them sending messages back to us from so far away and also bringing with them discs with recordings of what it is to be human.
Feels like earth has been abandoned and people are trying to attract someone’s attention…poignant
There’s something surprisingly poignant about this. There’s also a little Hitchhiker’s Guide in it. Great combination. Well done!
I’m with Icy, it too reminded me of a robot or recorded message, a cry almost desperate to reach out. It’s really go me thinking. ^_^
thanks so much Helen.
I read this as the last person on earth crying out in the dark. It is heart-rending and emotional. And in so few words. Poetic too.
Thanks so much for your wonderful comment.
I think the “lack” of words is what makes this so powerful. And it allows us to fill the spaces in between….
Thank you, so glad you read and commented.
I kind of get the feel of some Pseudo-Sumerian culture calling their Anunnaki gods back in the far flung future.Showing they had grown, were ready to be guided further. The lack of words helped convey a sense of longing, of reaching out.Lovely(and thank you so much for the feed back, it was very helpful)
